Tanzanite’s deep blue, indigo and violet tones, as well as its incredible luster and pleochroism, make it a perfect gem to be cut and faceted for jewelry. Pleochroism is the phenomenon of a gemstone that appears to have multiple colors based on the viewing angle. As a pleochroic gemstone, most Tanzanite are blue when viewed from one angle but can change to violet or red when seen at a different angle. Our Tanzanite Crystals were mined sustainably in Tanzania, one of the few areas of the world in which these gems occur. Sustainable mining means that the mines are re-filled with earth when they’ve been fully harvested, so as not to disrupt the surrounding ecosystem.

- 5 Gram Lot of Tanzanite Crystals (generally between 5 and 9 pieces)
- 10 Gram Lot of Tanzanite Crystals (generally between 9 and 15 pieces)

Crystals are intuitively chosen at “random” for the selected lot size, though you may request a specific preference and we will oblige if it is available! The number of pieces in each lot is dependent on the weight of each individual crystal and may vary. The Crystals you receive will look very similar if not the same to the ones pictured, but may slightly vary in shape due to the fact that they are natural crystals.
