Bicolor Elbaite Tourmaline is often referred to as Watermelon Tourmaline because of its pink and green coloring; These specimens generally exhibit a pink core surrounded by a green “rind”. This Bicolor Elbaite crystal is raw and untreated. It is quite gemmy and partially translucent. This piece exhibits beautiful parallel striations, textured lines running down its sides. It feature a bright pink core surrounded with a green to yellow exterior. Our Bicolor Tourmaline was sustainably mined in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Sustainable mining means that the mines are re-filled with earth when they’ve been fully harvested, so as not to disrupt the surrounding ecosystem.
